The Fitzcarraldo and & Other Stories covers strike me as a bit of an A24-style marketing move. They're saying, "You trust us as a publisher, first and foremost, and we think you'll like this book."

Steph saw my story yesterday and told me to come talk to you! I even saw a reference to the painting from A Good Person & Heap Earth Upon It in the body/text of Spoiled Milk by Avery Curran (another new release) and I’m dying to know why that particular painting is having such a moment!

This was very interesting, thank you. On Pagebound a user recently created a list called Twinning that includes pairs of unrelated titles with very similar cover designs. So fun to browse through 😅

I love hearing from cover designers like this. I really liked the cover comparison pics. It would be fun to see an A/B test. Put books with the two different covers and see which one sells better. I have both the UK and US versions of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The moods are completely different. Thank wife the very in depth story.
